What is clinical supervision, what it isn't, and how it is different from both clinical counseling and administrative supervision are explored in this introductory class.

This explores the developmental model of clinical supervision. What are the necessary skills, personal qualities, and essential knowledge for the clinical supervisor? We explore what it takes and assess readiness for the role.

What do I need to know going into the role of Clinical Supervisor? How do I screen, interview, and go under contract with potential supervisees? Learn the steps and practice the skills.

How do I fulfill my duties and meet my responsibilities as a clinical supervisor and get the best out those I supervise? We take a "Quality Assurance" approach to doing the job well. 

3 credit hours 

Finally an ethics course for counselors that uses the American Counseling Association's code of ethics as the primary source of guidance! This case-based class will help counselors to deepen their knowledge of the code and develop their skill in accessing its guidance. We take a hands-on learning approach to help you get and stay organized and connected with the appropriate rules and regulations in your state.

4 credit hours 

 What do stress and burnout look like in counselors and supervisors, and what can we do to manage stress and avoid burnout? We will explore these topics through conversation and hands-on experiential methods.
